Our aim is to provide access to census records in full, in your own home, on both PC and Mac, at a reasonable cost. Most family historians have access to computers either at work or at home and, as the cost of fiche just for London is around £5000; we decided that the ideal solution is to transfer these records onto CD. The images are then accessible by area and the use of street indexes will allow you to look up the records of your ancestors. We also provide additional name indexes to purchasers of CD/DVD sets wherever possible at an affordable price. These name indexes are currently compiled by volunteers working on our indexing projects. This work is invaluable and will help everyone gain the most form the census. All contributors are acknowledged on the disks. |

Our objectives are to make census data affordable without the problems that transcription only projects can cause. We provide the original page images as written by the census enumerator with bookmarks to enable you to find the right section. One of the benefits of this approach is you can spend time considering ambiguous entries which could be overlooked or misinterpreted by a transcriber Your family knowledge can give you the edge in searching for entries that, if transcribed , could hide your ancestors' name forever. |

Making Home research a reality has always been our aim. We will be making available on CD and DVD as much material as we can. The London 1891 Census was the first product to be launched as a part of this series and has been a huge success |
