Higher Image Quality

We have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on expanding the company to scan all of the microfilm and microfiche in house. This brings a tremendous quality benefit in that we can scan the microfilm or fiche several times to get the best possible images. Our larger sets are then pressed and packaged by EMI in Holland. It can take up to a year to recoup our costs on a release but then making a profit isn't our main concern.

We have now released the 1901 Census on CD, so if you want access to this permanently with the ability to browse the area where your ancestors lived, order it now. It will give you fast access to about 27 Gbytes of page images and area indexes on 45 CDs. The images have been digitally enhanced and filtered to make the release as compact and clear as possible.
